Agavita

Every fillet. Every pellet. Accounted for.

Nothing beneath the surface goes unseen. Agavita reads the inside of a pen with vision AI and turns it into the data the field can decide on.

Agavita makes the underwater side of a farm visible and turns it into data,

rebuilding aquaculture from its foundation

We want an industry where the field can be seen — and

Whether the fish in the pen are growing well is hard to see for yourself.

Below the surface, the position, movement and growth of the fish never stop changing. Observing and recording that continuously is difficult — so much of what the field decides is decided blind. The response comes late, and the loss grows.

1. Headcount

How many fish are actually in the pen is hard to know with any precision.

2. Growth & behaviour

Size, growth and changes in behaviour are hard to follow continuously.

3. Anomalies

There are limits to spotting environmental shifts or early signs of disease in time to act.

4. Industry data

Without enough data, feeding, production planning and insurance cannot rest on sharper decisions.

What cannot be seen is hard to record, and what cannot be recorded rarely becomes a better decision.

Agavita starts by making the field beneath the surface visible.

The state of the pen, visible anywhere, anytime — and ready to act on

Agavita uses underwater video, vision AI and environmental sensors to measure the fish and the conditions inside a pen, and turns both into data.

So that what the field learns becomes a better operating decision, we connect the analysis to the decision it supports.

A record of connecting technology to the field

Kiseok Kim worked as a Project Manager and TL at GM Cruise in the United States and at 42dot, the autonomous driving company of Hyundai Motor Group. “The answer in aquaculture is not at a desk. It is in the field.” Drawing on that experience of carrying technology and data through into real operations, he focuses on revealing what changes beneath the surface — so that a farmer’s long experience and judgement become a sharper advantage. We want an industry that sees better, decides faster, and leaves the initiative in production with the people in the field.

Agavita, leading the change in aquaculture, welcomes partners who will build that change with us
